Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI) on Wednesday formalised a collaboration agreement with Easypaisa to simplify its collection of payments, a news source reported. Following this breakthrough, RCCI’s business members will be able to make digital fee payments through the Easypaisa service.

According to the details revealed, the RCCI became the first commerce related body in the country to initiate and adopt digital payments. Reportedly, the chamber has over 12,000 members, including both large scale and small & medium enterprises (SMEs).
The agreement would allow the RCCI members to make digital payments for member registrations, membership renewals, certificates of origin, visa letters, and letter of attestation fees, along with several other types of donations directly via Easypaisa.

RCCI President Saboor Malik stated that it was the chamber’s first step towards digitalisation. He added that with this agreement, the RCCI’s customers would be able to pay fees with comfort from anywhere in the country. He further highlighted that the RCCI was always keen on integrating technology.
