RCCI President Malik Shahid Saleem said that both Central Asian and African states offer attractive investment opportunities. He called on the government and the business community to explore trade venues in the two regions.
He said that RCCI had organised a ‘Business Africa Forum’ in February. He added that the forum held discussions on trade, economic growth, and international markets.
The RCCI president said that Africa, South and Latin America, and Central Asia are non-traditional markets for Pakistan. He added that the country could benefit from developing trade ties with as many as 54 African countries.

There are 54 African countries, having a total population of over one billion, with huge potential for Pakistan to promote trade and exports, said the RCCI president.
Moreover, he requested the government to prioritise the development of Special Economic Zones (SEZs), which are being established under the multi-billion (CPEC) project.
