The board has also decided to confiscate the assets of commercial property tax defaulters (including cars and other moveable assets). The RCB administration has formulated a proposal in this regard and they expect the board to provide its approval for the venture in the next meeting.
The revised water charges per month for five marla properties will be PKR 450 (from PKR 225), while the price of a water tanker will be increased to PKR 1,500 (from PKR 1,000). On the other hand, a 30% increase has been proposed in the TIP tax, which is a significant rise in the current 3% value.

An RCB official stated that the board had identified many illegal housing schemes in the vicinity of Misrial Road and Burf Khana Chowk. In these locations, many people had registered their properties with the land revenue department; however, they failed to regularise their properties in the cantonment areas.
RCB spokesman Qaiser Mehmood said that under the Cantonment Act 1924, section 93 and 95, the civic body had the authority to confiscate moveable property of tax defaulters and that this law would be applied stringently in the coming days.
