Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has decided to auction 18 of its plots to get out of its financial crunch, a news source reported. 140 marlas of land are expected to yield tens of millions, which will help shore up the situation for the board.
Currently, RCB has to make payments for construction to contractors, dues for Khanpur Dam, salaries of employees, and to launch new development projects.
The plots are going to be sold in Westridge I, II and III and the rate for these plots has been set at PKR 1.3 million per marla. The formal approval for the sale of the plots will be given in the next board meeting.
