Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has established an exclusive counter to process renewal-of-lease applications – a news source reported. This facility is intended for shopkeepers that have leased their property from the RCB, and have been instructed by the authority to use it as per their requirements.

The shopkeepers have been warned that if they do not renew their agreements, they will be issued legal notices that will be followed by their removal from the property. According to RCB’s new policy, the lease will be renewed according to current market rates.

As per the reports, the lease for over 300 shops had ended and each had been issued legal notices with instructions that they should have them renewed as soon as possible. This is why the RCB Chief Executive Officer issued orders for the formation of a special counter to help resolve their issues.
