Rawalpindi: Forty commercial plazas and markets in Saddar, Naseerabad and Peshawar Road were sealed by the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) tax recovery team on May 3 because of nonpayment of property tax for the past 4 years, per a news source.
The board has given owners an option to pay 25% of the due amount immediately and the remainder in instalments by the end of June. It has also clarified that the buildings would not be de-sealed until the clearance of outstanding tax payments.
