Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has decided to raze all under-development constructions without approved building plans, a news source reported. In this regard, the RCD has already issued notices to the developers of 12 buildings missing approved building plans.

These notices have been issued under the Cantonment Acts 185 and 256. Earlier, the RCB took notice of illegal construction activities being carried out in various areas of the Rawalpindi Cantonment; including Misrial Road, Farooqabad, Peshawar Road, and the Quaid-e-Azam Colony.
During its demolition drive, the RCB Enforcement Wing also confiscated the construction material present on the sites targeted.

The RCB also launched an operation against encroachers in Saddar, Kashmir Road, Misrial Road, and Bank Road. In the same drive, the board removed hoardings and banners that had been displayed without the authority’s permission.
