Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) offices in Cantonment Library, Lansdowne Trust Library is causing problems for the Library visitors, according to a news report.
RCB established its offices here and pays a monthly rent of PKR 400,000 to the Trust. However, the frequent visitors to the library are facing a multitude of problems with the occupation by RCB authorities. Since the library’s main source of revenue is this rent income, the administration encourages RCB’s usage of the halls.
Commenting on this, RCB spokesperson Qaiser Mehmood, has said that rent cases are being heard in one hall, and that the other is being used for digitising the Cantonment Board’s records, including that of the library. He, however, added that a solution for this would be sought out soon.
