Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi district has been allocated funds amounting to PKR 1.84 billion to develop its first modern Circuit House, according to news sources. The funds for this Circuit House have been allocated under the annual development programme (ADP) of the Punjab government.

Moreover, the provincial government has also granted approvals for the upgradation and renovation of the Murree camp office of the Rawalpindi commissioner. In addition, the construction and renovation of the district revenue officer’s residence has also been approved.

The latest Circuit House is envisioned to be a state-of-the-art facility, which will mark a significant milestone for Rawalpindi. The facility is used both as an administrative unit and a guest house to accommodate visiting officials.
The Circuit House for the Rawalpindi division will span 5-kanal and is expected to be constructed in 18 months. The state-owned land for the project has already been selected for the purpose. It would be a five-storey building covering 24-kanal of land. The tender process for the construction of the project is already underway, and the contract is expected to be awarded next month.
