Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has finalised its plan pertaining to the beautification of the city’s four major roads and their markets, a news source reported. Further, the authority has shared the details concerning the development of the city’s new food street.

Under this plan, beautification of the junction connecting Moti Mehal on Murree Road with Liaqat Bagh Road, Lal Haweli with Bohar Bazar, and the one linking Bhabhra Bazar with Haweli Subhan Sang will begin soon.
The beautification plan for Rawalpindi Food Street focuses on relaying prominent culture aspects of all the provinces of Pakistan. This is in addition to the fact that the food street will offer famous food dishes from all parts of the country.

Sharing the details, RDA Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza said that along with other measures to beautify the city, the development authority will also abolish encroachment and illegal parking stands.

He revealed that the beatification plan also included measures to restore the historic beauty of the city for which, the RDA would take inspiration from Rawalpindi’s old pictures stored in the archives. These picture will help reflect original galore of the city with hint of modern functionality.
