According to Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Chairman Tariq Murtaza, the development of these underpasses and parking plazas will help improve the city’s traffic system within a time frame of two to three years.
Additionally, the planned parking plazas will be developed under the private-public partnership (PPP) arrangement – in commercial areas and markets. The authority concerned will also construct an additional floor in the Fawara Chowk parking plaza to increase its parking capacity.
