Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Commissioner Noor-ul-Amin Mengal has warned the residents of the Rawalpindi division that torrential rain spells in the coming days may overflood Nullah Lai, according to an announcement made on his official Facebook page.

The commissioner has listed a few precautions for the residents to help them counteract unexpected situations. Commissioner Mengal has also recommended that citizens stay away from electricity poles, the Nullah Lai flood channel, and avoid any unnecessary travel.
Furthermore, the commissioner has placed Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi and all the district administrations, including WASA personnel, on high alert to deal with unforeseen emergencies. He ordered rapid dewatering of the area and has assured the residents that the situation is being carefully monitored to facilitate the people in any manner possible.
