Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Safe City project will take three years to complete, according to City Police Officer (CPO) Abbas Ahsan.
He shared this development during a visit to the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI). At the chamber, he met several local traders who apprised him of their concerns.

The traders offered to cooperate with the local administration. They made a request to establish a single network linking all CCTV cameras in shopping malls and markets.
In response, Ahsan said that security officials would provide every possible assistance to the traders. He added that a special desk will be established in the CPO Office for this purpose.

A committee comprising senior police officials and RCCI representatives will collaborate on a project geared towards ‘model community policing’. The CPO said that all available resources will be utilised to solve the traders’ issues.
