Rawalpindi: A meeting regarding the ongoing underground cabling project in Rawalpindi’s Sadar Cantt was held yesterday at the IESCO office in Islamabad. The meeting was attended by Cantonment Executive Officer Syed Ali Irfan Razvi, Additional CEO Haider Shuja, Chief Cantt Engineer, SE Operations (IESCO), and PD (Construction).
During the meeting, the CEO of the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) praised the progress on the underground cabling system in Sadar, highlighting that both the new underground system and the existing overhead system are currently operational. The CEO further requested that IESCO expedite the load-shifting process to transition all connections fully to the underground system.
In response, the CEO of IESCO assured that the load-shifting work and the removal of old poles would be completed soon, marking a significant step in the area’s infrastructure development.
