Rawalpindi: Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatta has announced that the Rawalpindi Ring Road project is slated for completion by July 31, a news source reported on January 22. Work has commenced on the bridges over the Swan and Sil rivers, and the Thalian Interchange is undergoing remodeling. Additionally, the traffic network of Ring Road and Motorway is currently being modeled, he revealed.

Chatta mentioned that the Parks and Horticulture Authority will provide a plantation plan for both sides of the Ring Road. With over 18 percent of the physical work completed, he affirmed the project’s commitment to quality construction. The Ring Road is expected to be finished by July 31, with inauguration scheduled for August 14.

The comprehensive project includes the construction of five interchanges, 11 overpasses, bridges spanning two rivers, six canals, a railway bridge, and 15 subways.
