Rawalpindi: The Punjab government has announced its decision to establish a new food market for desi and fast food cuisine in the city within six months, a news source reported on November 29.

The building will be established at Bani Chowk and will replace the old Bani Market. The old Bani Market will be demolished to facilitate the construction of a parking space on the building’s basement and ground floor.
Two floors of the building will have offices, while the third and fourth floor will feature both Pakistani cuisines and fast food.

The major outline of the project has been drawn. The Punjab government will bear the costs of the project which is expected to be a joint venture of the local administration and the Rawalpindi Metropolitan Corporation.
