According to the concept papers, the said projects are expected to be developed under two phases. In addition, the plan to remodel these two intersections has been included in the Annual Development Programme 2020-21. Reportedly, the projects have been deemed vital for resolving issues regarding traffic congestion near important facilities in the area, including hospitals. The RDA had earlier proposed to execute these projects during the fiscal year 2020-21.

In addition to these projects, the RDA is also looking to bring the Ammar Shaheed Chowk Remodelling and Tunnel project under the auspices of the Annual Development Programme 2020-21. Previously, the PDWP had dropped the project due to jurisdiction issues with the the Chaklala Cantonment Board. However, many sources within the RDA are of the view that remodeling the chowk will give relief to the public — despite issues with its location.
