Rawalpindi: According to a news report, RDA has demolished and sealed apartments being constructed in Golden Town in Safari Enclave-1, Soan Ada. The owners of Golden Tower, have illegally constructed commercial buildings, which are found to be in violation of Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976, and RDA Building and Zoning Regulations 2007. This was issued in a statement on 1st March 2018.
The operation was carried out by RDA Land Use and Building Control with assistance from Rawalpindi Police. These actions were on the directives of Rawalpindi Commissioner Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry. This wing has been continuously conducting operations against illegal and unauthorised commercial and residential construction activities.
