Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) Executive Officer Umer Farooq Ali Malik on Tuesday (October 12) said that the board has completed development projects worth PKR 1 billion, according to news sources.

During a briefing to Station Commander Brig Ijaz Qamar Kiani, he stated that the projects include the building of parking lots, parks, and road repair. The following are some of the projects that have been completed by RCB in cantonment area of Rawalpindi:
- Construction of two parking areas in Saddar
- Carpeting of Kashmir Road and Adam Jee Road
- Development of Quranic Park located on Sher Khan Chowk near Military Hospital
- Construction of ‘Rumi Wall’ near Rumi Park

Reportedly, the parks in the Quranic Park, are decorated with trees whose names have appeared in the Quran including figs and olives.
