Rawalpindi: The district administration has issued tenders for the remodelling of four roads and the construction of a bridge on Nullah Kansi in the city, a news source reported. The project is expected to cost PKR 200.66 million and will be funded through the money allocated to the MPAs and MNAs of the city.

According to details, under the project nearly 90-kilometres of roads will be laid in the city as all the roads will be transformed into two-lane roads which is also expected to help ease the traffic follow in the corresponding areas.
The Rawalpindi to Kahuta Road will cost PKR 40.25 million and will be 38 kilometres long. The Kahuta to Bewar road will run for 23 kilometres and will cost nearly PKR 60.63 million. The road from Rawat to Kalar Syedan will run 40 kilometres and cost PKR 50 million.

Moreover, the road from Dhok Syedan to Thalian Motorway will cost PKR 1.4 million and the bridge over Nullah Kansi will cost another PKR 40.6 million.
