Islamabad: The Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) is working on the construction of the Rawal Dam Interchange and will complete the project one month ahead of its committed timeline, which was October 2022, according to news published on June 4.

Capital Development Authority (CDA) Member Engineering Syed Munawar Shah revealed that Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has directed the civic agency to complete the project by September 2022. The member engineering stated that the project was awarded to the joint venture of Calson and Maqbool Associates in June 2020. However, the work was stalled because of the price hike.

PM Shehbaz handed over the project to FWO and asked to complete the project without any increase in the cost of the contract. As per the details, the project features one underpass, an overhead bridge, several slip roads, and an underpass connecting Margalla Town. The said project is being constructed at the junction of Park Road, Murree Road, and Club Road.
