Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Amir Ali Ahmed on Friday said that upcoming CDA budget would include several development projects, a news source reported. He stated that as per the demand of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), CDA had includedRawal Chowk extension, development of various markets, 10th Avenue, expansion of expressways, Kahuta Triangle development, and work on industrial areas to the budget.

The CDA chairman revealed the information during in a meeting with ICCI President Muhammad Ahmed Waheed. The ICCI president called upon the CDA chief to brief him on problems faced by the local business community.
During the meeting, Ahmed assured the ICCI representatives about resolving the problems faced by the traders and industrialists on a priority basis. On this occasion, Waheed highlighted that the CDA board had amended the industrial building by-laws many years ago but there had been no implementation so far. He urged the CDA officials to resolve this matter on a timely basis.

Waheed also requested the CDA to allocate funds for the development of markets and industrial areas in its upcoming budget. He also emphasised the issue of lease renewal in industrial areas and commercial centres of I-9 and I-10.
