Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar on Tuesday (September 21) revealed that Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project will be showcased in Dubai Expo to attract foreign investment, according to media reports.

As per CM Buzdar, the project will be a game-changer as it is a unique project being developed on the bank of a river, inspired by the way London sits upon the River Thames. He went on to say that it will open new paths for development.
The chief minister presided over a review meeting of the Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project to check the progress work. It was reported that the chief minister was satisfied with the progress of the project and asked Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) to expedite the process of land acquisition as per the rules and regulations.

Moreover, CM Buzdar stated that 44,000 acres of land has been selected. It was disclosed that three barrages will be constructed with the capacity to store 600,000 cusec water and an industrial zone will be established on 6,000 acres. It was reported that 6 million samplings will be planted to decrease environmental pollution, making the project eco-friendly.
