Islamabad: Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed has announced that he will bring the department back to its feet and welcome investors to partake in business opportunities in Pakistan Railways, according to a news source. The tentative deadline he gave for his reforms to be visible is December 30.
He added that he would double the freight train capacity in this time and upgrade important railways stations such as Margalla and Chaklala on a priority basis. He also stated that trees would be planted along the tracks from Keemari to Peshawar to tackle environmental issues in the country.
