Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) has given a 15-day deadline to straighten out matters regarding illegal construction activities in Murree, according to a news source. The case has been adjourned for three weeks.
A three-judge bench headed by SCP Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar took a suo motu notice of the matter. On the orders given earlier to make an announcement in Murree about demolishing illegal structures, the state lawyer told the court that the announcements were made, notices to 125 people involved in illegal construction activities were issued, and 35 buildings were also demolished.
