Islamabad: A Chinese delegation for Framework Agreement called on Pakistan Ministry of Railways Muhammad Javed Anwar to discuss the progress of Karachi-Peshawar (ML-1) railway project, according to a news report. Anwar highlighted the importance of ML-1 and its strategic importance for China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
He also added that a feasibility study for the project’s Phase-1 is being undertaken to review processes so that the next stages for implementations could be carried out. More areas for cooperation in the railway sector were highlighted and brought to attention. This was done to find ways for better cooperation on mega projects between the two countries.
