Quetta: The Balochistan Public Private Partnership (BPPP) Board has approved 15 development projects including Green Bus Service for Quetta under the Public-Private Partnership mode, according to news published on August 19.

The first BPPP Board meeting was held in which Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo chaired the first and approved the Balochistan Public Private Partnership Act along with Authority Rules 2022. Initially, the meeting approved 15 development projects including Green Bus service, development of the Hub Special Economic Zone (SEZ), a solar desalination plant in Gwadar, and 100 MW solar parks in Hub.

As per the details, the development and functioning of the Bostan SEZ included 15 proposed projects. CM Bizenjo mentioned that with the promotion of a Public-Private Partnership, investors will be attracted to invest in the different sectors of the province. He went on to say that the development goals of the province cannot be achieved unless Balochistan relies on self-sufficiency. The minister stated that the Public-Private Partnership will play a vital role in paving the way for self-sufficiency.
