Quetta: Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) Chairman Naseer Khan Kashani on Monday (September 27) invited members of the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) to invest in Gawadar City business ventures, news sources reported.

The chairman met with QCCI members and informed them of the rapid development efforts as well as the supply of business services and facilities for investors in the port city. The chairman also emphasised the development of the Eastbay Expressway, which he stated is 92% complete, with the remaining construction moving at a quick rate. Mr Kashani also revealed that the progress on projects launched under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor in Gwadar city and other areas of the coastal district is also expedited. The chairman said the investors from Balochistan and members of QCCI will be given special incentives and business preferences.

The members of QCCI asked the chairman for special tax incentives for the investors. The chairman said that the government will facilitate the investors as much as possible to reap maximum benefit from the CPEC projects. He also said that by the end of 2050, the government will build 31 berths for increased ship handling.
