The extensive surveillance system is poised to play a pivotal role in elevating security measures for the residents of Quetta. Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Ali Mardan Domki personally oversaw the completion of the Safe City Project.
The news source mentioned that the cameras have been strategically placed at all entry and exit points of the provincial capital. The project, nearing completion, is expected to be inaugurated by the interim chief minister later this month, as per a well-informed official from the CM Secretariat who spoke on condition of anonymity due to lack of authorization to speak to the media.
Reports from the Science and Information Technology Department reveal that the project features a state-of-the-art command and control centre. This center, equipped with cutting-edge technology, houses a team of skilled human resources. Impressively, the entire system has been designed locally, underscoring the province’s commitment to technological self-reliance.
