Ottawa: A park named after the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah has been inaugurated in Winnipeg, Manitoda, Canada, according to a press release. Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Canada, Tariq Aziz Khan inaugurated the park in a ceremony attended by hundreds of people.
Khan stated that the credit for this goes to Pakistani-Canadian community in Manitoba, Canada. This is the first park to be named after Jinnah in any North American country. Addressing the ceremony, member Canadian Parliament Terry Duguid congratulated Pakistani community for naming the park after the founder of Pakistan.
