Lahore: The Punjab Industrial Estates Development & Management Company (PIEDMC) has revealed that the groundbreaking ceremony for the Quaid-e-Azam Business Park (QABP) in Sheikhupura will be held in March, a news source reported. As per the publication, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan will inaugurate the business park during the event.

During a meeting of the Board of Directors, PIEDMC Chairman Syed Nabeel Hashmi gave a briefing on the project’s business plan, which was eventually approved by the board. The chairman opined that once completed, the project would attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), promote industrial growth, and provide job opportunities in the province. He added that the project would also contribute to the country’s GDP and promote import substitution.

Hashmi revealed that QABP would create around 100,000 job opportunities for the people of Punjab during the next five years. He added that the project was in line with the PM’s vision of creating 10 million jobs in the country.
