The newly appointed Quetta administrator, Tariq Javed Mengal, announced the plan during a meeting with QMC officers held over the weekend.
Mengal stated that the authority will ensure the cleanliness of the city. He added that the civic body will also take daily action according to the public complaints registered on its web portal.
Mengal stressed that as per the directives issued by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, the complaints registered by the citizens on the web portal must be resolved immediately. He added that this specifically includes complaints of the traders.
He appealed to the city’s public to fully cooperate with QMC. He opined that the authority cannot resolve the city’s problems if it does not have the support of the people.
Mengal asked the QMC officers to submit a daily report pertaining to the city’s cleanliness. He also directed them to take action against illegal encroachments. He further stressed that the provincial government will not tolerate any negligence in addressing the city’s problems.
