Quetta: The Balochistan government has expanded the jurisdiction of the Quetta Metropolitan Corporation (QMC), according to Provincial Minister for Local Government Sardar Saleh Bhootani.

He expressed his views on the matter at the launch ceremony of a cleanliness campaign in Quetta. Adviser to the Chief Minister (CM) Naeem Bazai, Secretary Local Government Qambar Dashti, and QMC Administrator Farooq Langove were all present at the occasion.
The civic agency has been empowered to develop rural and urban areas located in the vicinity of the provincial capital. The minister said that the government had made hectic efforts for this purpose.
In a similar measure, the authorities concerned have decided to release funds worth PKR 1 billion. This amount will be utilised for the development of four union councils in the city.

Adviser to the Chief Minister (CM) Naeem Bazai said that measures were afoot for providing relief to the residents of Quetta. He directed the officials concerned to complete the development projects on time.
