Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Mir Jam Kamal Khan on Monday directed the Quetta Municipal Corporation (QMC) and Commissioner Quetta to fix the various drainage issues in the city, a news source reported.

The CM took the day to visit several roads in the city in order to review the drainage system following the recent heavy rains. Consequently, he gave directives to the Quetta Commissioner and QMC Administrator to take all measures to improve the drainage system on an emergency basis, in a bid to resolve the problems faced by people travelling in the area.

CM Kamal also visited the site for the Hostel for Women, Incubation Centre, and Women Bazaar. He directed the officials concerned to take steps to procure land to plan for the establishment of the Women Bazaar.

Balochistan Chief Secretary (CS) Fazeel Asghar and Provincial Minister for Home Zia Ullah Longove accompanied the CM on his visit. The CS briefed CM Kamal on the proposal prepared to set up the Women’s Bazaar.
