Rawalpindi: The Civil Defence Department has completed its survey of buildings taller than 36 feet in all districts of Punjab, reported a news source. The findings of the survey are expected to be shared with the provincial government today.

Based on the Civil Defence Department’s acquired information, the infrastructural database has been based around seven key concerns, including high-rise buildings, commercial plazas and markets, factories, public offices, petrol pumps, and oil agencies.
The provincial government will analyse the performance of the public offices in the light of the data shared by the Civil Defence Department. According to reports, such a database has been prepared for the first time in Pakistan.

As per the information attained, Rawalpindi alone is home to 509 public office buildings taller than 36 feet. The district is home to 234 petrol pumps and CNG stations, 471 public office, 899 factories, 35 commercial areas and markets, 291 approved LPG outlets, and 135 oil agencies.
