Lahore: Provincial Minister of Industry and Commerce SM Tanveer announced that the Punjab Chief Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the first-ever Business Facilitation Centre in Lahore soon, according to news published in the national dailies on November 5.

A meeting was chaired by SM Tanveer at the Tevta Secretariat where it was shared that the Business Facilitation Centre will be opened in December 2023. The meeting was attended by the Industry and Commerce Additional Secretary, Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) Deputy Managing Director, focal persons, and officers from relevant departments.
The minister elaborated that the Business Facilitation Centre will serve as a one-stop destination for investors and businesspersons seeking approvals, No Objection Certificates (NOCs), and other necessary facilities for establishing factories in the province. The said centre will be located on the ground floor of the Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) Head Office, Al Falah Building.

The Industry and Commerce Minister highlighted that an effective monitoring system for the Business Facilitation Centre’s performance has been established, with the Operational Review Committee and Steering Committee overseeing its operations.
