Lahore: The Punjab government has released funds for constructing sports complexes in 14 tehsils of the province, a news source reported.

Punjab Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Rai Taimoor Bhatti recently expressed his views on the matter. He was chairing a meeting at the National Hockey Stadium on Thursday.
Director Administration Javed Chohan, Director Project Management Unit Akram Soban, and Deputy Director Planning Rauf Bajwa were all present at the occasion.

The 14 tehsils are Chua Saiden Shah, Pind Dadan Khan, Jalalpur Jattan, Bhera, Mianwali, Depalpur, Pakpattan, Yazman, Hasilpur, Bahawalnagar, Chishtian, Liaqatpur, Taunsa Sharif, and Kot Addu.
The minister said that both Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar had recently issued instructions to this effect. He directed the officials concerned to complete the project on a priority basis.

Moreover, he said that the provincial government plans to establish sports grounds and complexes in every tehsil of the province during its five-year tenure.
