Lahore: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has launched a severe crackdown against encroachers, land grabbers and other corrupt elements across the province, according to news sources.
The department has recovered 100-acre agricultural land, worth PKR 102.2 million, from illegal occupation from different districts. The ACE staff arrested a tehsildar, a union council secretary and a junior X-ray technician on corruption charges.

The details of the crackdown in various parts of Punjab are as follows:
- ACE Lahore retrieved 8-Kanal, 16-Marla state land worth PKR 20 million from land grabbers in Tehsil Model Town Moza Shahzada
- ACE Sahiwal retrieved 65-Kanal, 14-Marla state land worth PKR 12.2 million from land grabbers in Okara.

- ACE Dera Ghazi Khan retrieved 90-acre of forest land (that lawfully belonged to Forest Department), worth PKR 70 million from illegal occupation.
- ACE Bahawalnagar arrested the Tehsildar Muhammad Ajmal Saif, whose bail petition was disregarded by the Bahawalnagar Bench of Lahore High Court (LHC). He is being held for the illegal transference of 83-acre state land and aiding the grabbers.
