Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Pervaiz Elahi on Friday (December 16) approved the construction of an underground mass transit system for Lahore, which will be executed with the help and funds from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

The project will involve the development of eight big stations for the Orange Line train, stretching from Valencia Town to Karma Chowk, Liberty Chowk, and Data Darbar up to the airport. The cabinet has also granted approval for the Planning and Development (P&D) Board and the transport department to hold negotiations with the ADB for technical assistance and financing.
