Lahore: The transportation department of Punjab has announced its plan to introduce a digital mobile application, according to a news source. This app will facilitate commuters by offering required information about the schedule of the buses and other transport-related amenities and information.
This announcement was made by Punjab Transport Minister Jahanzeb Khan Khichi in a press briefing on Tuesday. He added that the department of transport is using the latest information technology tools to facilitate passengers, and prevent unscrupulous practices from taking place.

Furthermore, the minister said that the department is also working to enhance the condition of the bus terminals and stands to offer more comfortable waiting areas for passengers (especially women and children). He also said that in addition to the upgradation of the Category C bus stands, new state-of-the-art bus stands will be launched.

The minister resolved to revisit the metro bus stations and review their condition. He said that the government will not tolerate any negligence and take strict action in case of non-compliance.
