Attock: Punjab Minister for Social Welfare Syed Yawar Abbas Bukhari on Saturday announced a PKR 1.29 billion road infrastructure development project for the Attock district, news sources reported.

The amount will be used for the construction of 12 road projects in the area. As per the reports, the minister said that the road infrastructure projects in the districts will help increase the connectivity and reduce fatalities caused by the potholes and bad conditions of the roads. The budget for the project will be provided by the federal and provincial governments over a period of two years.
The 12 roads included in this uplift initiative are:
- PKR 4.62 billion will be spent on the construction of a 74-Kilometer long road passing through different remote areas of Pindigheb, Jand and Fatehjang
- PKR 12 million would be spent on the improvement of the 12km road from Jail Chowk to Sultan Chowk
- PKR 13.20 million on 1.25-Kilometre Sanjwal factory to Tariqabad road

- PKR 14.150 million will be spent on rehabilitation of the 4.5 -Kilometer long Dakhnair village road
- PKR 14.62 million will be spent on a causeway over Shakardara Nullah
- PKR13.042 million on the 0.8-Kilometre long Dhoke Syedan link road and rehabilitation of 1.7-Kilometre Dhoke Sanjwal road
- PKR 77.846 million on the rehabilitation and improvement of the 7.75-Kilometre road from Choi Bungalow to Dheri Kot
The minister further stated that work on the rehabilitation and dualization of Teenmela Haji Shah Road has begun, while work on Dheri Legal Sanjwal Road and Golra Road is now underway.
