Faisalabad: The Punjab government has decided to set up 115 land record centres in different cities for facilitating the early redressal of public complaints, a news source reported.

Provincial Minister for Revenue Colonel (retired) Malik Muhammad Anwar expressed his views on the matter during a meeting held on Wednesday. Member Consolidation Board of Revenue Muhammad Ali Kamboh, Divisional Commissioner Mehmud Javed Bhatti, and Deputy Commissioners Sardar Saifullah Dogar, Hafiz Shouqat Ali, and Mohsin Rasheed, were all present at the occasion.
The minister directed the district administrations concerned to take the necessary steps for setting up new land record centres. He asked the officials to identify land on an immediate basis.
Moreover, he urged the revenue officers to improve the land record management system, and achieve their revenue collection targets. He stressed the need to digitise revenue record on a priority basis; in a bid to facilitate the citizens.

The minister further directed the officials to ensure security and safety of land records. He said that the utmost efforts need to be made to protect state land from land grabbers.
