Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Task Force for Price Control has decided to expand the scope of home delivery services offered to help people during lockdown, a news source reported. The decision was taken during a meeting presided over by Punjab Minister for Industries and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal on Thursday (April 2).

Industry and Trade Secretary Capt. (r) Zaffar Iqbal, among other officials, attended the meeting. Punjab Minister for Food Samiullah Chaudhary, deputy commissioners of Lahore Division and notable officials of the Punjab Police also attended the meeting via video link.
Reportedly, the meeting discussed the provincial government’s measures to provide items of daily use on the pre-established prices. Furthermore, it was decided that shops and general stores of owners found selling items at inflated rates will be sealed.

As per reports, the meeting members also decided that store owners will be made to display official rates of all items communicated by the Price Control Authority. Minister Iqbal directed the authority officials to ensure 100% implantation of the finalized price control mechanism.
