Lahore: The Punjab cabinet has provided its approval to the establishment of a new development authority in Lahore in a bid to develop divisional neighbourhoods and promote business activities at Walton Airport and surrounding areas, according to a news report published on January 27.

According to details, the ‘Lahore Central Business District (CBD) Development Authority’ in Lahore will facilitate investors on a priority basis. This information was revealed by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Tuesday during meetings with various officials, who briefed them regarding the development projects currently underway and investment opportunities they present in the province.

Addressing a delegation, the CM stated the government is taking revolutionary steps to promote investment in the province and that Punjab is emerging as a ‘haven’ for investors. He reiterated that the investors are being provided with different facilities under one roof and the construction sector has been given several incentives.
