Dera Ghazi Khan: Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) Director General Kamran Lashari on Wednesday (February 09) announced the development of Piala Lake at Ghazighat as a tourist destination, news sites reported. The site will house recreational sites, shops and food stalls.

During his visit, Lashari stated that the government plans to turn Fort Munro into a contemporary tourist site that would draw a large number of visitors to the region. In addition, he announced a cable cart and chair lift project for the hill tourist spot. He stated that the project’s major goal is to increase tourism in the region and provide opportunities for locals.

The project will be given final permission by the Chief Minister of Punjab, and funding would be provided appropriately. It is worth noting that CM Buzdar recently visited DG Khan and launched 16 development projects totaling billions of rupees. The initiatives included the construction of roads, health-care infrastructure, and basic municipal amenities.
