Lahore: The Punjab Government plans to decrease its non-development expenditures in the eight-month budget to be presented to the provincial government on Oct 16, a news source reported. Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar, speaking on the matter, said that non-development expenses will be reduced and austerity will be adopted to provide relief to the masses.
He was chairing a meeting to discuss proposals for the budget. The CM also said that more attention should be given to the provision of basic amenities. The meeting also reviewed the Annual Development Plan. He also mentioned that the development and prosperity of South Punjab will one of the areas of focus of the government.
