Lahore: The Punjab Government would complete the remaining section of Lahore Ring Road on built, operate and transfer (BOT) basis and will invite bidding from foreign companies in this regard, a news source quoted Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan. He warned against further delays in the project.

The authorities concerned were asked to remove all loopholes and bottlenecks. Aleem said that the incumbent government accorded priority to the upgradation of infrastructure.
In October, the government had approved the construction work on the 186-kilometre-long project. The project is expected to be completed at a cost of PKR 40 billion.
Ring Road-II (RR-II) will connect Lahore, Kasur and Sheikhupura. It will start from BRB Canal and head to Kasur via Lalyani Ring Road. On the other side, Sheikhupura will be connected with the Ring Road via Upper Chenab through Kala Shah Kaku.
