Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar on Wednesday directed shopkeepers operating in the province to follow a ‘no mask, no service’ policy, a news source reported. He further stated that social distancing and using masks and sanitizers was significant for safety against the novel coronavirus spread.

The CM said that the public would have to learn to live with the virus by adopting certain precautions. He added that public cooperation in this regard was important for achieving the objectives of the government’s campaign against the coronavirus outbreak.
Chairing a meeting, CM Buzdar also discussed the prices of essential items in Punjab. He issued directives to the departments concerned to take all administrative steps necessary for stabilising these prices. He added that the provincial government would not allow anyone to increase prices of essential items including sugar, flour, poultry, and ghee.

Moreover, he said that profiteers would face administrative action. He highlighted that the provincial government would ensure the provision of essential items to the public at fixed rates. He stated that all efforts were underway to overcome locust attack in the province. He said that the district administration was fully engaged on this matter.
