Sargodha: The Divisional Development Working Party (DDWP) has approved funding for nine road projects in the Bhakkar and Khushab districts, with a total budget of PKR 960 million, as reported by a news source on August 29.

The details include that the approval was granted during a meeting chaired by Sargodha Division Commissioner Jahanzeb Awan on Wednesday. The approved projects include seven road construction and repair schemes for Bhakkar, with an estimated PKR 715 million, and two Khushab schemes totalling PKR 250 million. It was confirmed that full funding for these projects has been released, with completion expected within the year.
Commissioner Awan highlighted the importance of thorough oversight by deputy commissioners to ensure the quality and sustainability of the development projects. He also noted that a third-party audit would be conducted for all schemes.

The meeting was attended by several officials, including Director Development Bilal Hassan, SE Building, SE Local Government, SE Public Health Engineering, XEN Highways, Deputy Director Technical, and the deputy commissioners of Khushab and Bhakkar, who participated via video link.
