Lahore: The Punjab government has sought suggestions from the departments concerned with respect to the inclusion of development schemes in the upcoming budget – a news source reported.
The government has decided to increase the property tax in its budget for the fiscal year 2019-20. For this purpose, a committee was recently constituted. It has been tasked with suggesting the percentage by which the said tax should be increased.

As per reports, the budget session is likely to take place in the third week of May. The departments concerned have been formally asked to finalise their development schemes by March.
These departments will forward the first draft of the annual development plan (ADP) to the P&D Board. The government has envisaged an ADP proposal worth PKR 434 billion for the next fiscal year.
